GlazeIQ ("we", "us", "our") operates the website glazeiq.co.uk. GlazeIQ is a free service for UK homeowners that connects you with discounted window and door installation weeks from major A-rated brands when they have gaps in their fitting schedules. GlazeIQ is not affiliated with any glazing manufacturer or installer.
For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, GlazeIQ is the data controller of the personal data you provide through this website. You can contact us at any time at hello@glazeiq.co.uk.
What personal data we collect
When you register for the GlazeIQ Standby List, we collect the following information:
- Your name — so we know who to contact.
- Your mobile number — so we can alert you when a discounted install week opens in your area.
- Your email address — for confirmations and follow-up communication.
- Your postcode — so we can match you to installation weeks and installers covering your area.
- Project details — the size of your project (for example, 1–3 or 4–8 windows or doors) and your flexibility on installation dates.
We do not collect payment details, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
How we use your data
We use your personal data only for the following purposes:
- To contact you when a discounted installation week becomes available in your area.
- To arrange a subsidised quote with a major brand and, where requested, a comparison quote from a top-rated local installer.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the service you registered for.
- To keep our records accurate and to improve how the service works.
Our lawful basis for processing is your consent (given when you submit the registration form) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service you asked us to provide.
Who we share your data with
To arrange your quotes, we share the relevant details (typically your name, contact details, postcode and project requirements) with:
- The major glazing brand(s) offering a discounted installation week in your area, and
- Where you request a comparison quote, a vetted local installer covering your postcode.
We share only what is needed to provide the quote, and we never sell your personal data to anyone. Our website and registration form are hosted by Netlify, Inc., which processes form submissions on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
Cookies and local storage
GlazeIQ does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The website uses your browser's local storage solely to remember your postcode and preferences during your visit, so the site behaves consistently for you. This information stays on your own device and is not transmitted to us beyond the details you choose to submit in the registration form.
How long we keep your data
We keep your registration details while your enquiry is active and for up to 24 months afterwards, in case a suitable installation week arises later. After that, your data is securely deleted. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time (see "Your rights" below).
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your data ("the right to be forgotten").
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Object to or restrict how we process your data.
- Data portability — receive your data in a usable format.

Your data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and stored with access restricted to those who need it to operate the service. Our registration form includes spam-protection measures. While no online service can guarantee absolute security, we take proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. If we make significant changes, we will make this clear on the website.
